VSDCA's Ozarks International Vintage Race Oct 14-16 Invites All

This is a new 4-mile international class circuit west of St Louis.  Vintage racers from the midwest, southeast and southwest are expected for the first all vintage weekend on this Lake of the Ozarks resort area circuit.
Those who have raced where in contemporary cars compare it favorably to Road America and even the famous SPA in Europe.
Alex Rorke, VSCDA President, notes that this event is focused on liberal track time and expanding the area opportunity for VSCDA.  He extends a special invite to all VSCDA vintage racers and guest vintage racers to inaugurate the new circuit.

VSCDA Formula Vee 60th Anniversary Celebration Sept 15-16, 2023 Road America

This big celebration will be the feature at the annual VSCDA Ariens Art on Wheels Vintage Racing and Festival weekend, one of the largest vintage racing weekends in North America which annually attracts over 300 participants.  this big celebration honors the beginning of SCCA's recognition of Formula Vee as a championship class in 1963 and its continuing success around the world with many organizations.  
Vintage racers of F Vees from all years, and of all types, vintage and modern, are invited for special racing groups.  SuperVees, Formula One Vees and other special types will have groups.  Over 150 vintage Formula Vees are expected to enjoy racing on North Americas greatest circuit and enjoying a special reception, F Vee displays, special banquet and seminars.
Formula Vee 60th Anniversary 1963-2023 celebrations will be held earlier in the year by SOVREN, CVAR, VRG and RMVR at vintage racing weekends.  Plenty of opportunity for F Vee racing on-track seat time in 2023.

Falls's Arrival Signals Great Vintage Racing Events and Time To Organize for 2023

Even while enjoying some of the 25 or so vintage racing weekends on the 2022 schedule, todays parts shortages and shipping problems require action now for a successful vintage racing start to 2023.

We here at victorylanc.com have been doing a survey of key suppliers and the parts lead times and shortages are serious.

Put In Bay Vintage Races Sept 20-23 South Bay island OH Feature MGs and Triumphs

The spirit of 1950s sports car racing is revived at this annual vintage racing event.

The 1.2 mile airport circuit will be the site of races for MGs, Triumphs, Lotus, Saabs, Minis, Abarths, Sprites, Elvas, Coopers, Fiats and the sports cars of the 1950s.  The event includes a car show, parties and tours of one of the original through the town circuits.  Spectators are invited.  www.pibroadrace.com

VDCA Peach State Historics Sept 17-18, Road Atlanta, Liberal Track Time

VDCA offers two days of vintage racing featuring liberal track time on one of North Americas legendary road racing circuits.
Friday late afternoon is registration, tech and load in.
Saturday morning is practice and qualifying for afternoon Fun Races followed by Group Feature Races.  Special Saturday races also include a 1:00 pm British Car Race and a 4:30 Lucky Dawg Race.  Drivers, crews and guests are treated to a Saturday late afternoon dinner at the track.
Early Sunday morning is the traditional one hour Enduro Feature.  Sunday Sprint Races begin after lunch.  Final All Comers Race offers even more track time.  VDCA's theme of liberal track time is reflected in the extensive schedule of the event.  Check the final schedule and entrant info at www.vintagedrive.com

Women of Racing, Formula B Championship, Brass Era Cars, Celebrated Sept 15-18 VSCDA Vintage Races Road America, Spectators Invited

The VSCDA Ariens Art On Wheels is four days of vintage racing and festivities for VSCDA and guest racers on North Americas greatest road racing circuit.  Thursday is load in, test and tune and the big evening welcome party for all at the Overflow on Elkhart Lake.   Friday, Saturday and Sunday are filled with vintage practice, qualifying and races.
Special festivities and races during this vintage racing weekend include a Friday evening welcome reception with light meal, Saturday morning Coffee and Canvas, Saturday noon Brass Era Cars touring on track with guest riders.  Saturday early afternoon is the Mike and Deb Korneli original road circuit re-enactment.  Saturday afternoon is nine charity races with celebrity women guests waving the green flag for each.  Included Saturday afternoon is the Feature Race celebrating the Formula B 55th Anniversary Continental Grand Prix 1967 Championship.  There is a Saturday afternoon car show at the track.  Saturday late afternoon is an at the track reception for celebrity women racers, vintage racers and crew honoring all women racers.  Saturday evening is the big Women of Racing panel and banquet at Tufte Center.  
Participation charity donations for the many special events benefit Women in Motorsports North America.

CVAR Drivers School and Brad Balles Vintage Races Sept 9-11 Eagles Canyon Raceway, TX

The annual fall vintage racing season opener for the Corinthian Vintage Auto Racers Club honors the club's Founder.  it is held on one of the best vintage racing circuits in North America located just northwest of Fort Worth, Texas.
A full schedule of practice, qualifying and races is scheduled Friday through Sunday for the expected 150 drivers and their vintage racing cars.  A special Saturday All British car race is an annual feature.  Entrants, crews and guests may  make a contribution for rides in Historic NASCARS, driven by local racing celebrities, benefiting local charities.  They are organized each day by Sam LeComte's Concierge Motor Sports.

SOVREN Columbia Classic Vintage Races & All British Field Meet Sept 10-11 Portland International Raceway, OR

This Labor Day weekend PIR hosts IndyCar, the following week it's SOVREN vintage racing featuring a variety of British cars.  There will be extensive competition for the Brits by American Corvettes an Shelby GT 350s plus a Cobra or two, many German Porsches and perhaps an Italian Ferrari or Maserati.
The Sprite-Midget Challenge race is an annual, always exciting, Feature.  The field of Formula Ford racers deliver close entertaining races.  over 140 vintage racing cars will keep the action going.  Spectators invited.

Thirty PreWar Bugattis Featured Sept 7-11 SVRA Vintage Watkins Glen Vintage Grand Prix

The Hilliard US Vintage Grand Prix races at The Glen circuit presented by SVRA Vintage expect over 300 vintage cars.
The Bugatti Features include 15 Bugattis racing during the weekend, plus 15 cars on display.  All will be doing special expo laps.  Many will be in the re-enactment drive on the original 1948 road circuit during the Friday downtown Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival.  After the race weekend many Bugattis will participate in the Finger Lakes Rally.

This is the opener for VDCAs three event fall vintage racing season.  The celebration begins with Saturday morning practice sessions and afternoon Feature Races.  The afternoon Features begin with a special British Car Feature.  A Sunday morning Enduro is followed by afternoon Sprint Races for all groups.  Roebling Road is a 2 mile road racing circuit located just west of Savannah.

2022 VRG/VSCCA Lime Rock Historic Festival Racing Weekend and Concours Sept 2-5

Corvette is the Featured Marque with full participation of Chevrolet bringing many of the famous Corvette racing cars and concept cars, PreWar race cars are especially featured.  Thursdays 17 mile vintage racing car parade through the area opens the festivities.  Friday-Saturday and Monday are for practice and vintage races.  Sunday is the Race Car Concours on the main straight and The Gathering of The Marques Show on the rest of the circuit.  Vintage race cars from the 1930s through the 1990s will be racing.

2022 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion Rushes Toward The Saturday August 21 Rolex Feature Races

Each day since Wednesday each of the 14 featured Race Groups has enjoyed a 25 minute race.  Included are four different Le Mans car groups honoring the featured Le Mans 24 Hour race and its 100th year in 2023. The Special 14 Rolex races are Saturday starting at 8:15 am for the Formula Juniors and ending with the 5:05-5:30 pm Group 14 for IMSA, GTO, Trans Am race.  Tickets are still available for the Saturday races.

The Formula Junior International Class Cars of 1959-1963 Raced by Hulme, Clark, Hansgen, Stewart and Others Featured Pre-Reunion and Reunion, Laguna Seca 2022

Along with the many historic Le Mans 24 Hour racing cars on exhibition and racing there will be 36 of these important race cars.  36 Formula Juniors are entered including Lotus, Brabham, Elva, Cooper and Lola cars.  They are on-track twice a day during the August 13-14 Pre-Reunion and once each day during the Reunion August 17-20.   In 1960, '61, '62, '63 these cars were the professional support races for the big fall Laguna Seca professional Pacific Grand Prix Races for sports cars.  The sports car races were won by Roger Penske, Dave McDonald, Stirling Moss - twice, Chuck Sargent.  The F Jr races were won by Walt Hansgen - twice, Chuck Parsons and Ed Leslie.

Monterey Classic Car Week 2022 August 12-21 Races, Concours, Shows, Tours, Rallies, Parties and Car Auctions

The Monterey Car Week opens with a Friday August 12 downtown Monterey race car show promoting the August 12-14 Pre-Reunion and August 17-20 Reunion vintage races at Laguna Seca.  The week between the vintage races is filled with several dozen fascinating and varied classic car events.  The Sunday August 21 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance tops out the week.  The Pre-Reunion features 10 vintage race groups each on track twice both Saturday and Sunday.

The Rolex Motorsports Reunion salutes the Le Mans 24 Hour races and has 14 vintage race groups. Each race group is on track once each day Wednesday through Saturday.  Admission ticket info at www.co.monterey.ca.us

VSCDA Aug 12-14 Grand Prix Au Grattan Summer Vintage Racing Party

The 11th year of this annual salute to summer will feature a tribute to the entire racing staff.  Races for all VSCDA classes through 1997 are scheduled.  VMC Member Club racers are invited to join in the party.  Features include Sprite Midget series, Trans Am B Sedan series, Formula Vee series.
The charity of the event is Disabled American Veterans with charity noon rides.  An Enduro also raises funds for the charity.
Grattan Raceway Park is a 2 mile, 13 turn road racing circuit located near South Haven, Michigan.

RMVR's July 29-31 Race Against Kids' Cancer Invites Fans To Enjoy A Vintage Race Weekend With Free Admission At Denver's High Plains Raceway

This is the largest annual vintage racing weekend in the mountain states area.  There will be a great variety of cars which fans can enjoy and take lunch time rides in a race car for charity contribution.  The variety of cars is immense from the 1930s through 1980s.  Vintage Formula Vee cars have special Veevergnugen racing features during the weekend.

Road America's International Challenge July 14-17 Features Dan Gurney's Eagles and 400 Vintage Race Cars
Over 30 of Dan Gurney's All American Racers built Eagles will be on display and on-track during the annual WeatherTech International Challenge with Brian Redman.  Eagles include winning F1, Indy, IMSA GTP and F5000 cars. 
400 vintage racing cars of all types will compete in 12 race groups and will be on-track Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  There is a downtown Elkhart Lake race car concours on Friday and a sports car concours on Saturday free to spectators.  Over 50,000 spectators are expected over the three days for the races.

Pittsburgh GP, Two Vintage Race Weekends & Festival July 15-24 Salutes Porsche, Triumph, Spridgets

VRG Pittsburgh Historics at Pitt Race circuit opens the 10 day festival July 15-17.  All vintage classes will be racing.  Kastner Cup races for Triumphs are featured.  This is followed by a week filled with dozens of car shows saluting almost every sports car marque with parties, banquets, rallies and special auto displays.
The big Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix at Schenley Park July 23-24 attracts special vintage racing classes and 100,000 spectators.  The All Porsche Marque race is Sunday.  A special National HP Champion Donna Mae Mims Austin Healey Sprite and MG Midget race is Saturday.

VSCCA White Mountain Vintage Grand Prix July 8-9 Club Motorsports Circuit Tamworth, NH

This spectacular 2.5 mile, 18 turn circuit winds through the hills, meadows and forest in the Sandwich Range of the White Mountain area in Eastern-mid New Hampshire.

VSCCA drivers regard this as one of the most interesting and challenging circuits on the schedule.

The early entry list has a variety of VSCCA type cars:  MG, Austin Healey, Bugatti, Lotus, Turner, Elva, Lotus, Alfa Romeo, Porsche, Sunbeam, Fiat and Triumph.  All VMC member club vintage racers are invited to join the fun.

SOVREN's Pacific Northwest Historics Independence Weekend July 1-3 Pacific Raceways Salutes Lotus and Racing History

This celebration with great racing cars, many great vintage races, open paddock for spectators all make this annual Fourth of July weekend a major vintage racing event.  The legendary 2.5 mile road racing circuit set in a scenic fir forest with terrific spectator viewing has hosted all the great series:  USRRC, F5000, Continental FB, SCCA Nationals, Trans Am, USAC Indy Cars.  They were driven by Gurney, Brabham, Andretti, Follmer, Hobbs, Miles, Hall, Donohue, Unser, Hill and other legends.  There have been hundreds of club races with cars including Abarth, AC Ace, Ace Bristol, Allards, Corvette, Jaguar, Austin Healey, Triumph, MG, Morgan, Lotus, Cobra, Elva, Lola, Ferrari, Maserati, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Cooper and more.

All this history will be saluted on-track by 200 vintage racers.  The honored marque is Lotus with dozens of these famous cars racing in many classes.  The famous Lotus 19 that Dan Gurney drove to victory in the 1962 Pacific Northwest Historics will be on display and in exhibition laps.
